Dr. J. Carr, Contributor – Ivy League Consulting™

Joel R Carr DO MPH MBAI remember when Ivy League Works™ was just getting started. It was fun, exciting, and team-spirited. Guess what? It still is!

What’s great about contributing to Ivy League Works™ is that it doesn’t feel like I’m part of a company, but rather, a family. No boring suits. No ties. No corporate culture negativity. Each team member plays a valuable part of the whole making the flavor of the group sparkle and savor each assigned project.

The resulting team culture (some of it linked by the Internet) is as though we’re getting ready to just hang out and have a fun time doing what we love to do. And, in reality, it IS fun!  Sure!  We do roll up our sleeves and get busy excitedly bent on exceeding client expectations.  Still, the means to the goal is always to have lots of fun!

Yup!  Sometimes its sharing jokes to get the positive mindset energized.  Other times, when the Pomodoro “mental break” timer goes off, it’s a healthy round of electronic games, shared for all.  Someone is always volunteering break-time, brain teasers about TV shows, movies, and other trivia to keep our creative juices flowing. But, I have to say that the gourmet coffee breaks are a thing to live for ’cause Starbucks has nothing on these offerings!

Dr. S. Potapenko, Program Manager, Projects Director

Dr Svetlana Potapenko, Ivy League Works Project ManagerI love how the work environment is a combination of youthful energy and seasoned wisdom.  Work is fun and titles are always first names.  Each team member has an equal voice because a great idea is always hiding in the most unforeseen places!

Brainstorming is a must, here at Ivy League Works™.  All I do when managing the team is feed and water that vibrant energy applying the chief’s leadership by example.  Then, I channel it into success so the client benefits!  Oh, if you see us at work we are always in casual attire…it’s a must to sustain a fresh and dynamic culture of focused fun!

Marina G, CT

Lic. Marina GarciaI love being part of a unique company culture that focuses on making work productive by creating an environment of fun and excitement. Everyone is respected for their opinions!  Honesty is always the best policy.  No two people have the same work schedule so each task is aligned to best fit unique needs.  A strength mindset is central to everything we do and that means weaknesses allow others to make the team flourish. Exceeding the client’s expectations remains the goal. And, setbacks are considered lessons learned to improve the team going forward. That keeps attention off self and brings home each project to a successful outcome!   Each day is a new challenge, and we consider it an opportunity to learn and excel.

Michelle O., Translator

Michelle Ortiz, Tagalog translatorI enjoy working with Ivy League Works™ because I am able to use my skills and knowledge as well as push myself in areas that I am unsure of myself. There’s always an educational in-service going on to keep each of our skills fresh and cutting edge.  These I enjoy most of all!

I also have the freedom to think outside the box and have all my thoughts considered. The fun blended into this team’s culture allows me to speak my mind…and everyone listens!
